Each piece is individually handmade, start to finish, by a single artisan and includes its own Certificate of Authenticity. The set also ships in a canvas Inspired Peru drawstring gift bag — a touch reserved for our gift sets.

The two purple pieces are individually hand-dyed by a single artisan, preserving the fiber's natural sheen and drape. The white piece is left entirely in the fiber's own natural pigment — no dye, no added color. No two pieces are ever identical.

This design was created by Inspired Peru and is handcrafted within our network of 35+ indigenous Andean artisan families in the Peruvian highlands.

Andean Silk™ describes the long, silky locks that naturally grow in smooth, parallel strands, giving Suri fiber its distinctive drape and sheen. Because the 12" White piece is fully natural and undyed, it's naturally lanolin-free; this claim applies to the White piece only, since both Purple pieces are hand-dyed. Fill is premium polyester fiberfill, selected for structural resilience and shape retention. Seams are hand-finished and reinforced.

Suri fiber's long, silky locks benefit from slightly different care than our Huacaya pieces. Spot clean gently using a small amount of foam from a mild, fragrance-free soap, keeping the piece as dry as possible. Never machine wash or tumble dry. When drying or restoring shape, smooth the locks gently in their natural direction with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb — never brush against the direction of the locks, and never use a hairdryer or other heat source.

Is this set made from real alpaca fur?
Yes. All three pieces are made from genuine Suri alpaca fur — the two purple pieces hand-dyed, the white piece left in its natural color.

What's the difference between Suri and Huacaya alpaca fur?
Both are genuine alpaca fiber, but they feel very different. Huacaya fiber crimps into a dense, springy loft. Suri fiber grows in long, straight, silky locks with a natural drape and sheen.

Is the color natural or dyed?
Both. The 16" and 6" Purple pieces are fully hand-dyed. The 12" White piece is fully natural and undyed.

Does this contain lanolin?
The 12" White piece is naturally lanolin-free, since it's fully undyed. The two Purple pieces are hand-dyed and carry no lanolin-free claim.

What are the eyes made of?
Glass safety eyes on all three pieces, hand-set and secured with a backing washer.
